The Piece That Fits My Part

Prior to getting married, I always told DG that he was my missing piece, the missing piece in my puzzle, the piece that fits my part. I see where you mind is going, stop it! Well we've joked about this for years and he even incorporated the puzzle theme into our logo which was on our wedding invitation.

So it's only fitting that for a first anniversary gift, which is traditionally paper, that I gave him a puzzle. I ordered it on Shutterfly and it could not have turned out better. 252 pieces and a decorative tin to go with it. I can't wait to spend time putting it together. DG bought me the most beautiful notecards that have a "C" on them in pink and green flowers with a little bee. In addition to paper, the more modern gift for a first anniversary is a time piece or clock. So I also received a sand hourglass. So cute.

ONE YEAR

One year ago today, we were getting ready to head to the wedding rehearsal. Our close friends and relatives had all come to town and were on their way over to our house to hang out and eat food. It was a magical time for us that we look back on with fond memories.

Holy crap, DG and I have been married for one year! The actual date is this Sunday, but we will be going out Saturday night to celebrate. Here's to eternity, and children.
