36 hours later...

3 days after we put our house on the market and we are under contract! *phew* AND we are able to close on both houses on the same day. Just in time before the snow gets here.
Barring and inspections issues we close the first week of May. I need to go start packing!

I assume that means you sold your house? Or you are under contract to sell it?
That really is unbelievably fortunate. Congratulations on all your fortune!
Great news! I'm sure it was the lovely backyard landscaping that sealed the deal.
But how in the world are you going to get packed up and moved in three weeks! Are you doing a rentback to stay in your current house after closing?
I've got to start on phase one of packing, hauling out garbage bags full of broken toys and spoiled food from the back of the pantry.
No rentbacks for us. Step 1 - hire the movers, Step 2 - beg, borrow and steal boxes, Step 3 - Start packing. We close on our house first and on our new house second, then we move that afternoon.
