Wedding Video

Thursday, November 02, 2006

We got our wedding video in the mail yesterday that my Dad edited and burned to DVD. It includes the rehearsal dinner in our backyard, everyone getting ready before the wedding, the wedding, the reception, and then us leaving. It was great to watch, especially all of the good wishes that everyone gave us at the wedding. These were fun because we did not know that my Dad had filmed people. My favorite moments were Roxanne being so sweet in her message, Mark getting verclempt, Joy getting verclempt, and Holly's husband Bruce saying "The advice don't go to bed angry is really great advice. I would like to add to that, when you go to bed, don't go to sleep." I'm working on DG putting some video clip links here. In case you did not see his site, he posted a couple of minutes of our vows HERE that Erin took. I will say that our vows were LONG, too long, longer than my toe nail. My mother had warned me, but I brushed it off because I wanted to be done with the planning.

Love Bruce's advice. I know I love reading in bed.

Shall I tell you our sappy secret to a happy marriage? We were counting down to the wedding, and we started with Merry x-mas eve, then Merry X-mas, Happy Day before Dan's b-day, Happy B-day, Happy Wedding Day, Happy Day after the Wedding. What then, how long could we keep this up? So we instituted Happy I Love You Day.

Dan's never worked a M-F job, and neither have I most years. So whenever our days off coincided, we'd declare Happy I Love You Day. Lately it's shrunk to Happy I Love You Afternoon, if the kids are asleep or at grandma's.

Must be doing something right. Thirteen years next month. Wow.

Any way of putting the wedding video/DVD from Dad Beehive on your blog? Would love to see it. And why you're at it, why not add the infamous "Do Do You Love Me....NO!!!!!!" video.

DG has two little words that will serve him well in matromony and they are 'Yes dear'.

It is probably too long to put the whole thing up. Maybe snipits...and no the Paula video will never see the light of day or the internet!

Amy, does Happy I Love You Afternoon = the modern day version of Afternoon Delight?
