Suspension of Reality

Friday, August 18, 2006

The evening of the wedding (after a 3 hour nap), we met some of our wedding guests at a local martini bar, The Cruise Room. (The photo is courtesy of Erin.) The entire Cure table from the wedding came out to celebrate with us. It was very important to us to spend more time with our friends that had traveled so far to celebrate the day with us. This is one of the reasons that DG and I chose to wait a few weeks before going on our honeymoon.

Though I can see how leaving for the honeymoon right after the wedding can allow couples to live in the glow of the newly married status for just a little bit longer. We are back to weeding the yard, going on poop patrol, mowing, taking out the trash....blah blah. You know, the mundane. Soon however, it will be "quick get the binoculars, I see a bald eagle", and "hey is that a humpback or a killer whale?" and "It's 3am and I am $100 up on black jack, should we head to bed or the bar?"

Awww. Well, it's a good thing you're waiting on the honeymoon. I was pretty wiped out by the halfway point of ours after all the wedding fuss.

Great picture! We had a ton of fun and the wedding was fabulous! Kudos to David and all his fun designs! I have lots of pictures to send you. As soon as I finish downloading them from my camera, then cropping, color adjusting, fixing red eye...I should have them ready by December!

I thought the same thing about the nap! :)
