Mom and her Mini Me

Tuesday, August 08, 2006

I am getting scolded for posting these pictures, but I just can't help myself. "Could they BE any cuter?" said Chandler.

The year was 1976, and to celebrate the bicentennial, my mom made us some red, white, and blue matching dresses. The only thing that could possibly make this story any better, would be if she had torn the drapes off of the window to do it.

I was dressed in a Holly Hobby dress and Ray was Ben Franklin. Not only did we compete in a costume competition downtown, but our portraits were immortalized in charcoal and hung in the Living Room for 20 years. Poor Ray has the ruffled shirt for all to see.
