Well I haven't visited anywhere near as many states as you, but I have lived in eight states in the last 16 years, do I get points for that?
And I made it to Mississippi, although I was evacuating from a hurricane at the time, so I didn't do much sightseeing.

Yes, points for packing up the house and moving, with kids, lots of points! I'm actually thinking about crossing 3 of the states off my list as they were more of a "drive through". I don't have memories of Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia and my only experience in them has been from the inside of a car. The rest of the states however, I have spent significant time in.
I guess you weren't in band when we went to West Virginia. Such fun, the bus broke down, it was 90 degrees during the parade, and the Strawberry festival wasn't that much more interesting than Meriden's Daffodil festival. Totally not worth selling hundreds of candy bars for.
West Virginia? Are you sure? I joined the band to go on the Virginia Beach trip. (I think it was the Hershey, PA trip I missed). hmm my mammories are fading :)
