I've never been a wine connosieur. I know what I like, and after a glass, it all tastes the same. I can't smell the difference in grapes between ones that were tilled in a cranberry pasture vs. a cow patty. Nor does the taste of a peppery vs. raspberry stand out to be. When it comes to flavor, I ony know when I like it. Over the past several years, I've stuck to Merlots. But I have a problem with the Tanins, and I don't like the way they make my throat feel. I prefer a much smoother wine. Which brings me to my new favorite, one I had at dinner recently. The owner of my company picked this wine to drink and both he and the guy next to him, a prominent publisher in NYC both buy this by the case! It is St. Francis 2002 Old Vines Zinfandel from Sonoma Valley and it retails for $15.99 a bottle. I went and stocked up the other night. Here's hoping I get snowed in soon!

You should slap a picture of the label up on your post, talk about the label a bit and submit it for Wine Blogging Wednesday! :)
