CLA + DHG = We are engaged!
My boyfriend, err, I mean fiance, my future husband, aka best man I've ever dated has asked me to marry him and I said YES!
Saturday night during our Holiday party, professional Carolers showed up at our door at 9:15p.m. to sing for everyone. They were dressed in Ye Olde garb and had amazing voices doing 3 part harmony. Everyone, including myself was completely oblivious and thought these carolers were so nice to be out going door to door in the hood in 7 degree snowy weather. One word to describe me: clueless. They started by singing Jingle Bells and I was just tickled and thought they were totally the hit of the party. Then they went into "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", and during the second verse, the lyrics were changed to "Will You Marry Me Christy Allbee, Will You Marry Me Christy Allbee, Will You Marry Me Christy Allbee" and David got down on one knee in front of me with a ring. I was speechless, verclempt, and the happiest girl in the world. It was all caught on two videos. If you want to see them, let me know and I will email you the links.

Congratulations! I've been up with Piet since 6:00 AM, which is just way too early for me. We were in the computer room and I thought I'd check in and see what you were up to. I was expecting to read about holiday shopping or cookies (which I saw were the day before) and I found the good news.

Yaaaayy. This will be a Merry, Merry Christmas!!! Congratulations on finding a guy who makes you smile and laugh and comes up with a totally cool way to propose.
Although I am concerned that in his list of favorite holiday movies on his blog he has Home Alone 2 but not A Christmas Story or It's a Wonderful Life. But I suppose every guy has to have one flaw.
Have you gone out and bought a ridiculous Bridal Magazine yet?
